London, March 19th 2008 --
IKON Office Solutions, a leading provider of document technology and services, has today announced the opening of its first dedicated Professional Print Centre in the UK, at Paul Street, London.
The Professional Print Centre has been built specifically for IKON’s new Production and Graphic Arts operation and provides sales specialists with a unique facility to demonstrate high performance, digital colour printing solutions.
Alongside the latest Apple Mac Computer, there is a Canon C1 ImagePress, and an IKON CPP650 high definition colour device with choice of Pro-80 Fiery Controller, or Creo PowerPro 650 Controller. Besides being used for demonstrations, the 24-hour facility can tackle overflow and disaster recovery jobs for existing customers.
IKON’s new Professional Print Centre is a major investment to grow its share of the digital colour printing marketplace. It is also an integral part of IKON’s national strategy to establish a Production and Graphic Arts operation with sales, technical and support specialists nationwide. Ian Hargreaves is IKON’s Production and Graphic Arts Sales Manager for London, and says: “The Professional Print Centre is a unique facility for us to demonstrate professional print solutions in action and shows IKON's commitment to becoming a recognised leading provider of integrated production systems.”
