London – 17 April, 2009 – This year’s race will be the twentieth year running that IKON Office Solutions have been the sole official supplier of office equipment to the Flora London Marathon. For the past 6 years, IKON has also successfully reproduced the official race results for the world’s press.
IKON will deliver a range of equipment including copiers, faxes and printers, along with consumables and accessories, to various locations across London. This will help organisers carry out the registration of runners and all administrative tasks associated with such an important event. All equipment is supported by dedicated on-site engineers from IKON, who will be working tirelessly leading up to race day and who will be on call 24 hours a day, for 3 days over the weekend, to ensure operations run smoothly.
As soon as the winners cross the finish line, IKON’s Document Services facility will get to work printing and finishing 600 sets of the 4 race results for men, women, wheelchair men and wheelchair women for the world's press. The official, original results will be signed by the race referee at Marathon HQ then 600 sets will be digitally produced and distributed to the venues across London for the world’s press to receive.
